As a result of the blaze on Collingwood Road in Sutton, Sutton, a 27-year-old woman has been charged with child neglect.

‘This awful loss has devastated myself and my family,' Mr Hoath wrote in a statement to MailOnline on Friday.

‘They were Sons, Brothers, Grandsons, Great Grandsons, Nephews and Cousins.

‘We would want to thank the emergency services who worked tirelessly to save our boys, as well as the local community for its support.

‘Please provide my family private time to grieve. They will always be in my heart and mind, Dad.

The boys were left alone at home while their mother went shopping.

Mr Stringer verified that ‘there was nobody else inside the property at the time of the incident'.

He stated the Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade are investigating.

The woman accused of child neglect remains in police custody, the police chief said.

‘I am devastated to hear that the horrible house fire that took place in Sutton last night led to four youngsters losing their lives', Jason Hoath said on Facebook.

‘Although taken too soon, they will always be in our hearts. I adore you forever. xxxx'

Commissaire Roe said their deaths had left everyone “numb with sadness”.

The blaze was out at 8.36pm and the cause is unknown.

‘My thoughts are with the children's families and friends, the local community, and all those impacted by this tragedy,' Mr Roe added.

‘Fire crews arrived swiftly and found the kids inside. They were dragged out of the house and treated.

‘The welfare of our personnel involved in this situation is very important to us.'
