Brexit Secretary David Davis threatens to resign over Damian Green ‘porn’ allegations

What in bloody hell is going with our Government? First, there was ‘Porngate’ with Damian Green and now David Davis, Britain’s Brexit Secretary, is talking about resigning from his role in Cabinet. But why? Davis is furious over allegations against his “porn peddling” crony, Damian Green. The disclosure came after a retired Scotland Yard detective alleged that, get this, ‘thousands’ of pornographic images were found on Mr. Green’s computer in 2008. However, Mr. Davis thinks it is rude of the British public to suggest that Mr. Green be fired from his cushy job watching porn all day at the taxpayers’ expense. So it would appear the Brexit Secretary would rather talk about his buddy’s job than about the looming Brexit problems plaguing our country. But I digress…

Brexit Secretary’s Warning to The Prime Minister
Now if that wasn’t bad enough, Secretary Davis wants Theresa May to help him defend Mr. Green against the allegations. Recently, a close friend of both Davis and Green noted that if Green was ousted, Davis would have a hard time sticking around. The friend also added that the Brexit Secretary sent a dire warning to the Prime Minister about his decision to defend his friend in the face of losing his job. Here’s what a reliable source close to Mr. Davis said earlier, “It’s right that allegations of misconduct towards individuals are properly investigated, but police officers have a duty of confidentiality which should be upheld.”

For all you that don’t know, this whole thing started in 2008. When a group of counter-terrorism investigators raided the Commons office, obviously looking for ‘terrorist porn.’ No, they weren’t, I’m just taking a piss but actually, the raid was mounted to catch a Whitehall official leaking secrets to Mr. Green. After the raid was carried out and his computer was confiscated, a Met expert by the name of, Neil Lewis claimed to have uncovered a treasure trove of porn on Green’s work computer. All of this occurred while Green was a member of Mr. Davis’s shadow home affairs team.

Old Evidence
The Brexit Secretary is not alone in his defense of Mr. Green. Now Lord Carlile is getting involved and he’s exerting his political power over the situation. People close to the matter said that Lord Carlile, the former watchdog over anti-terror laws, called on Met chief Cressida Dick to reign in her investigators and take control of the Met’s handling of the controversy. Simply put, he was telling her to “sweep this under the rug.” He didn’t stop there, in an interview with the Evening Standard he reiterated his point by saying, “it was unacceptable for former officers to dredge up old evidence to embarrass people.” To be honest, I wish our Brexit Secretary would fight for our Brexit referendum just as much as he defends his “porn peddling friends.”
