Following the November 28 crash, Jamie Wallis, MP for Bridgend, stated he was ‘assisting police with their enquiries'.

A motorist hit a light post early in the morning on Church Road in Llanblethian, a tiny community near Cowbridge.

The incident, which involved only one vehicle, occurred at around 1.10am, according to a South Wales Police spokeswoman.
‘A automobile hit with a lamp post,' added the spokeswoman.

‘A 37-year-old Cowbridge man was charged with driving when unfit.'

He was freed on suspicion.'

An official for Mr Wallis said: ‘Jamie was in an accident and is aiding authorities.'

‘He won't say further while this is going on.'

Mr Wallis, a 2019 MP, tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week.
